Rural Enterprise Fortnight

A fortnight of free events to promote and support rural enterprise in South Bedfordshire began on June 16th 2008.

The fortnight, arranged in partnership with Bedfordshire County Council, Business Link and Bedfordshire Rural Affairs Forum (BRAF), featured a range of events.  These began with an official launch at Chalgrave Manor Golf Club where Wilfred Emmanuel Jones, behind The Black Farmer range of meat products, gave an inspirational and entertaining talk.

The Business Link outreach service visited the district on June 17th and 18th, and on the 23rd, 25th and 26th, advisors were available in local public houses to offer support and advice over a free drink.
