Accidents at Work

Find out what work-related accidents/diseases need to be reported, and how to report them

Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (or RIDDOR 95) requires (by law) the reporting of work-related accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences.

You can report incidents at work to the Incident Contact Centre. This will ensure that the incident is passed onto the correct authority for investigation and will ensure that your legal duty is met.

All accidents occurring on the premises need to be entered in the accident book, which should be kept within your workplace.
