Arts Council England (Grants for the Arts)

The Arts Council provides grants to fulfil its five aims:

To change peoples lives through the opportunity to take part in or experience high quality arts activities.
To increase opportunities for cultural diversity in the arts. By cultural diversity they mean the full range and diversity of the culture in this country. In some cases their focus will be on race and ethnic background and in others on disability, for example.
To support excellence, new ideas and activity to help long-term stability in arts organisations.
To invest in the creative talents of artists and individuals.
To increase resources for the arts.
