What is Yu-act?

Who is it aimed at?

The project is for 16 to 25 year olds who wouldnt ordinarily become involved in voluntary work. They may be young people who are at risk of offending and/or come from a deprived area.

What is involved?

We are open to ideas on this whatever they young people want! This may be a challenge day clearing debris in a park or helping paint a mural at a centre for the homeless.

What commitment is there?

Very little, either just one event or for a couple of hours over a few weeks.

What recognition is there?

A certificate is issued for any activity carried out. If the young person is interested, they can move on to our successful Millennium Volunteer programme where a certificate is issued after 50, 100 and 200 hours the final one being a Certificate of Excellence Award signed by the Secretary of State for Education and Skills.
