Beds Voice – listening to our communities

Five Bedfordshire public authorities have joined together to set up a countywide consultation panel with the aim of saving money and improving results.

What’s involved?

Using an independent market research company, SMSR, 5,000 local residents across the county were recruited to the panel.  These panel members will then be asked questions through a variety of methods such as postal surveys, telephone calls, focus groups and others depending on what the partners need to find out.

Why do it?

The partners often have to undertake consultations.  By working together we hope to reduce the costs whilst ensuring that local people still have a say.

What if I want to join it?

The panel has been recruited independently to try avoid any biases.  The organisations involved can’t add individuals to it.  However, please do look at our main consultation page.  There are often opportunities to get involved in some of our other consultations or to feedback comments in general.
