Residents' Panel 2002-2006

South Bedfordshire District Council ran its's own separate Residents' Panel until 2006.

The Corporate Projects and Performance Team at South Bedfordshire District Council lead on corporate consultations including the Residents' Panel and can be contacted by telephone on 0845 849 6090, or e-mail consultation@southbeds.gov.uk.

Since 2007 we have been part of the "Beds Voice" consortium which ahs brought together a number of other local authorities to use a single panel and reduce costs.  Prior to this we ran our own panel, reports from which are given below.

How does a resident's panel work?

IpsosMORI, an independent market research company, run the panel for us. This helps to ensure that every panel member is able to remain anonymous. IpsosMORI carry out all of the consultation exercises and give us impartial reports on the feedback that the panel members give us. We then use this information to improve services and to let our partners know what you feel are the important issues in Bedfordshire. The newsletters are used to help keep panel members informed about their responses and what we are doing.
