Interpreting and Translation Services
South Bedfordshire District Council uses Language Line for interpretation and translation services when a member of the public requires interpretation either on the telephone, in person at the district offices or at any of our Customer Service Centres.
English Language Courses
We are keen to ensure that language does not act as a barrier to access services or to limit community engagement. Shared language should be at the heart of a common set of values for a community. Sign Language
For sign language requirements the volunteers based at the district offices can be contacted. Their contact details can be obtained from Human Resources.
For major events, if no one is available within SBDC then a sign language expert can be booked through either of the following:
