New Traders for Dunstable Market (20/07/06)

Visitors to Dunstable Market will notice some new faces this week as two new traders set up stalls. Studham Nurseries and fruit and vegetable seller, Shane Staples can now be found at the car park end of the market on both Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The pair join approximately 26 other traders who already sell a variety of goods including household items, fresh flowers and plants, clothing, bags, meat and fish.

Shane, who is a qualified chef and has a good understanding of the fruit and veg he sells, said: "The survival of markets today is dependent on quality stalls offering quality goods and friendly service. I am looking forward to meeting many new customers in Dunstable."

Studham Nurseries will be offering bedding plants, shrubs, perennials and hanging baskets. Dan Goldsmith from the nursery said: "This is an excellent opportunity for local people to get to know us and to buy locally grown plants. We are finding that many people want advice on what they are buying which of course we are very happy to give."

Executive councillor with responsibility for markets, David McVicar, said: "Its excellent that new traders have put their faith in Dunstable and decided to set up. If you havent been to the market recently, I encourage you to go down and see whats on offer. The traders provide a top class service and really know their products."
