Grove Theatre box office opens its doors (23/03/2007)

People wishing to purchase tickets for performances can now do so in person from the newly opened Box Office on the ground floor of the theatre.

Although the venue is not fully open to the public until launch day on 21 April, there is easy access to the theatre’s reception via Court Drive and along the main concourse.

South Bedfordshire District Council Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, Councillor David McVicar, popped in on opening day last week to help box office staff greet visitors and deal with phone calls. The council is committed to encouraging and supporting the provision of a range of high quality leisure and cultural facilities for the people of South Bedfordshire.

The theatre has just launched its second season brochure and box office staff are already dealing with hundreds of calls a day.

Since the box office opened 16,000 tickets have now been booked with shows in high demand including the Opening Gala, Pam Ayres, The Rat Pack From Las Vegas and Colin Fry.

The box office is open for telephone, postal and personal callers Monday to Friday 10am-5pm.  Or alternatively book 24 hours a day via the website at www.grovetheatre.co.uk or by calling the Grove Theatre box office can be reached on: 01582 60 20 80
