Housing Strategy Consultation

Strong Demand To Take Part In Housing Strategy Consultation Sees New Public Event Dates Added

Due to public interest South Bedfordshire District Council have added two further dates to public consultation for the draft Housing Strategy 2008-13.

The strategy has been designed to set out the main housing aims of the council for the coming five years tackling issues such as; making sure new housing growth meets the needs of new communities, looking after council homes and estates, supporting vulnerable people, working in partnership with other organisations and increasing choices for people in housing need.

 The new public events are:

  • Wednesday 5 September - Leighton Buzzard Citizone, West Street, Leighton Buzzard 4pm - 7pm
  • Friday 7 September - South Bedfordshire District Council Offices, High Street North 4pm - 6pm.

The meetings will be informal, with a display board exhibition setting out the main issues in the strategy, and proposals for how they should be tackled.

There will also be the opportunity for residents to discuss the strategy with officers and to give feedback.
