District Council Welcomes Tate Consumables To Dunstable
Originally known as Tate Fastforms Ltd founded in 1988, and operating from Wingate Road, Luton, as a print company, Tate has transformed into a successful multi million pound company supplying many varied leading industry companies with anything from betting slips to watering cans!
They have since moved twice from their first base eventually coming to rest in Verey Road, Woodside Industrial Estate in Dunstable in December 2007.
Managing Director Richard Beal said “We made it our priority to move somewhere local and easily accessible for all our existing staff so we weren’t prepared to move too far away. The location of Verey Road meant that we could safeguard existing jobs and create new ones.”
Tate Consumables has come a long way from being just a trade printer to supplies/ distribution specialists counting big names such as Shell, Texaco, Coral and Tote as some of their many happy customers.
South Bedfordshire District Council's Chairman Councillor Beryl Meakins said “This is a fantastic move for both Tate and the local area. It is great to see how much effort they put into finding a location which would allow everyone to keep their jobs and to continue trading locally. I wish them every success".
