Transitional arrangements

Six transitional task forces have been set up for children, young people and families, each of which have seven members. These groups will bring support to the work of the Shadow Executive.  Each group will also focus on one of the six key service group areas that make up the services we will provide.

The Transitional Task Force (TTF) for Children, Young People and Families will have an overview and provide advice on policy development in the following areas:

• Safeguarding
• children in need
• adoption
• fostering
• early years and child care
• family support
• looked after children
• young people leaving care
• educational standards and achievements
• schools support
• SEN
• youth support services
• children’s health
• youth offending
