Working with Schools
Headteacher Workshops
One of our key tasks, in creating Central Bedfordshire, is to ensure that services are not disrupted during this time of transition.
Central Bedfordshire will make raising the aspirations and ambitions of children a core priority and objective for the new council.
Schools and schools leadership will play a vital role in how we develop services for children, young people and families in Central Bedfordshire.
We believe that schools can offer the opportunity of becoming a greater community focus for a range of services delivered to communities by offering both formal and informal learning opportunities to children, young people and adults.
In order to help us take forward this agenda, we held a number of facilitated workshops with Head teachers and other learning providers to help shape the agenda for children’s services.
We also used the opportunity to update head teachers on local government reorganisation and explain our vision for service delivery within Central Bedfordshire.
