Restaurants and Catering

All food businesses should register with their local authority (please note mobile catering vans should register with the local authority for where the van is kept). Registration is free of charge and does not need periodic renewal, but you do need to notify the Council if the nature of the business changes, or if there is a change of address or a change of owner.

It is an offence to use premises for the purpose of a food business, for five or more days in any five consecutive weeks, unless they are registered with the District Council.
