Freecycle
The Freecycle organisation aims to reduce the amount that people throw away - either in their dustbin or at their local tip - and reduce the amount of landfill.
Freecycle uses the internet and email to link people together, so that when a member wants to discard an item, they broadcast this to the rest of the group, just in case someone is interested in the item. The service is totally free and run by volunteers. You can get more information from the Freecycle website : www.freecycle.org
