Standard Planning Application Form (1APP)
Please note information provided on the application form and accompanying drawings and documents will be made available on the internet.
A new national standard planning application form (1APP) became mandatory on 6 April 2008. The national standard planning application form is now the only official method of submitting a planning application. South Bedfordshire District Council began using the 1APP forms on 4 March 2008. From this date copies of our old forms were withdrawn.
There are different application forms depending on the type of application you are making.
Please read the help notes for completing the forms and validation checklists before submitting your application.
The forms are available as PDF documents to download and return to us by post. Please select the form relevant to your proposal.
South Bedfordshire District Council welcomes the submission of planning applications online - see Make an application on the Planning Portal website. Applications submitted to the council electronically, through the Planning Portal website, were switched from the current Planning Portal forms to the 1APP forms on 4 March 2008.
We will determine whether minor/'other applications' are valid within 3 working days from receipt. For 'small scale major' applications within 5 working days from receipt and 'large scale major' applications will be validated within 10 working days from receipt.
If you do not provide all the necessary information, as per the mandatory requirements on the checklist, your application may be deemed invalid. If your application is invalid we will write to you specifying what information is required in order to make the application valid, within 5 working days from receipt of the application. Please ensure you look at the relevant validation checklist for your proposal before submitting your application.
