Proposed Luton Town FC Application
Land to the east of M1 (Junction 12) south of A5120 and north of Toddington Service Area, Harlington Road, Toddington, Dunstable
On Monday 25 February Mid and South Bedfordshire District Councils each received an application relating to the relocation of Luton Town Football Club to a site near Junction 12 of the M1. The applications also feature the creation of distribution warehousing and an access link to Harlington Station.
The application submitted to South Bedfordshire District Council was made valid on 27 February 2008 (application reference 08/0230) and comments have been invited from our stakeholders and local residents. The 21 day consultation period ended on 31 March 2008, but as this is a major application with an Environmental Impact Assessment, South Bedfordshire District Council welcomed comments until 21 April 2008.
It is envisaged that the application will be considered at a Planning Committee meeting during May or June 2008, but the final date will be placed on the website.
