Compliments/Complaints received by Building Control 2007 - 2008

There were 22 compliments/complaints recorded in the Building Control monitoring system for the period.

  • 2 Complimentary letters received about the service we have provided. (See also results of our customer survey)
  • 8 Complaints about matters not related to Building Control . Advice was given in each case regarding the relevant Service or Organisation to which the complaint should be directed.
  • 3 Complaints about the way we have provided our service. In each case the matter was resolved with the complainant.
  • 2 Complaints about work on site. In both cases Officer's visited site and the complaint was resolved.
  • 2 Complaints about unauthorised building work on neighbouring properties. Works investigated and dealt with accordingly.
  • 5 Reports of dangerous structures that were investigated and found not to require formal action.

No complaints regarding the Building Control Service were received during the period April 2007 to March 2008 which resulted in action being necessary within the Council's corporate complaints procedures.
