Welcome to Building Control

What is Building Control

Building Control is a regulatory system which seeks to;

  • ensure the health and safety of people in and around buildings;
  • provide access and facilities for the disabled;
  • conserve energy and prevent unnecessary heat loss from buildings.

Apart from certain small works most building projects need to satisfy the building regulations. Our job is to examine plans to ensure compliance with the building regulations and inspect works to make sure the requirements are complied with.
